The Academy Plastic Model Company has been producing kits since 1969. The company is famous for its endless research and development and the excellent model kits that result from the effort. Academy has been awarded Model of the Year at the Nuremberg International Toy Show nine times and the quality of their model kits meets or exceeds that of any other current manufacturer.
- The Curtiss P-40 was the only USAAF fighter available in quantity when the US entered WWII in 1941. By that time, the aircraft was almost obsolete compared to its adversaries, but soldiered on throughout the war as various improvements were made in its design. The P-40M and N variants were the last production models and were developed in an attempt to overcome some of the performance deficencies of the aircraft. The P-40N in particular underwent a major program of weight reduction, and as a result was the fastest and most agile of the P-40 series. The N-model also featured improved rear visibility through a redesigned rear canopy. Both the M and N models served with the USAAF and its allies in WWII: Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

We accept returns for exchange or refund for 30 calendar days after delivery of the order, and returns for Christmas holiday gift purchases may be made through January 31. Please contact us if you receive a damaged item, or if an item is missing from your order. Damaged items or items missing from an order may be replaced or refunded at our discretion. Undamaged items that are returned must be in new, unaltered and unused condition showing no signs of wear or damage. Refunds are contingent upon inspection of item(s), and the customer is responsible for all shipping costs if seller is not at fault for the return. Refunds will be given in the form of the payment method used for the original purchase transaction.
