Models thus vary between less than an inch (WWII era patrol boat) to approximately 10 inches (WWII era fast battleship or aircraft carrier). For example, the length of the real RMS Titanic was 882 ft 9 in (269.1 m). In 1/1250 scale, a model of RMS Titanic measures approximately 8.5 in (21.5 cm).
