The F-14D “Delta” was the ultimate evolution of Grumman’s iconic carrier-based fighter. VF-2 “Bounty Hunters” operated the F-14D from aircraft carriers throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, taking part in operations over the Middle East and enforcing no-fly zones prior to the Tomcat’s retirement in 2006.
