The Academy Plastic Model Company has been producing kits since 1969. The company is famous for its endless research and development and the excellent model kits that result from the effort. Academy has been awarded Model of the Year at the Nuremberg International Toy Show nine times and the quality of their model kits meets or exceeds that of any other current manufacturer. The Starfighter was originally designed for the US Air Force as a pure high speed fighter interceptor. First flight was on 4th march 1954 at Edwards AFB. By that time most European NATO Countries were looking for a new standard fighter/fighter bomber to form the backbone of their Air Forces. Early designs of the model could not really satisfy the European requirements, which resulted in the modified F-104G version. The 'G' was conceived as low-level capable, high-speed fighter bomber with in- and egress speeds of up to Mach 2. 5. This finely detailed plastic model kit requires assembly and painting.

Undamaged items that are returned must be in new, unaltered and unused condition showing no signs of wear or damage. Refunds are contingent upon inspection of item(s), and the customer is responsible for all shipping costs if seller is not at fault for the return. Refunds will be given in the form of the payment method used for the original purchase transaction.
