Item DW16006 is a 1:16 scale static plastic model kit of the German Sd.Kfz. 234/2, designed with exceptional detail and versatility. The kit includes two suspension options, a metal barrel, photo-etched parts, and the ability to build either a standard or command version. It features four marking options, hatches that can be built open or closed, and even allows for steering angle adjustment. A commander figure is also provided as a bonus. Historically, the Sd.Kfz. 234 was a family of German World War II armored reconnaissance vehicles, with the Sd.Kfz. 234/2 being the most notable. Armed with a 5 cm KwK 39/1 tank gun and a coaxial MG 42, originally intended for the VK 1602 Leopard light tank project, this vehicle was both well-armed and highly mobile. Production began in late 1943, with 101 units manufactured between December 1943 and June 1944, and the official designation Sd.Kfz. 234/2 adopted in March 1944. Its relatively powerful armament for a reconnaissance vehicle often encouraged crews to use it in direct combat roles rather than limiting it to scouting duties.
