Hasegawa produces over 1000 different models which cover a wide range of fascinating subjects. These include aircraft, cars, ships and military vehicles in multiple scales. This finely detailed plastic model kit requires assembly and painting. Developed as a successor to the Mitsubishi G3M (Nell), the Mitsubishi G4M’s prototype first flew in October 1939. Known as Betty in the Allied code name system, the G4M had wings that were essentially giant gas tanks, with integral fuel cells throughout. In the early years of the war, the Betty proved a potent attack plane that used its enormous range to strike targets deep within China, the Philippines, or out at sea, as the British learned when G4Ms sunk the Repulse and the Prince of Wales. However, the huge wing fuel tanks proved a weakness; even a few hits from an enemy fighter or AA-gun would generally set the plane ablaze. Later models had redesigned wings with self-sealing fuel tanks. A total of 2400 were built. The G4M2E was the version of the Betty with its bomb bay removed and the ability to carry an Ohka Model 11 suicide attack plane. In addition, armor plate was added around the pilot’s seat, the fuel tanks and other locations, significantly increasing the weight and making it a poor flier. As a result, most were shot down before they could launch their Ohkas.

Undamaged items that are returned must be in new, unaltered and unused condition showing no signs of wear or damage.
