  • Designed by the 'enemy of the people' Tupolev ,the Tu-2 medium bomber were regarded as one of the best bombers in the last years of the WWII. The program started in May, 1940, under the requirements of the government and the aircraft took its first flight after just 7 months. The first production Tu-2s were built and named on 22 August, 1942, and the first corps equipped with Tu-2 were into battle at Leningrad just 2 months later. The kit consists of over 40 parts, and it includes 6 clear parts for the windscreen/canopy.
