This 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit is an updated reissue of Item 24031 Audi quattro and features refreshed decals, an updated instruction manual, and revised packaging, recreating one of the most influential performance cars of its era. The Audi quattro helped redefine the role of four wheel drive by bringing it from heavy off road vehicles into the world of high performance road cars, combining the sleek Audi Coupe body with distinctive flared fenders and front and rear spoilers that signaled its capabilities. Power came from a 2144 cc inline five cylinder engine equipped with a turbocharger and intercooler producing 200 horsepower, and this model faithfully captures the engine, suspension, and full time four wheel drive system. Measuring approximately 185 mm in length, 79 mm in width, and 57 mm in height when completed, the kit also includes a detailed interior with accurately rendered seats, dashboard, and shift lever, along with decals to reproduce the striped seat patterns. Realistic synthetic rubber tires with molded tread patterns are included, as well as one driver figure, and the instructions provide guidance for painting the body in four authentic color options: silver, red, white, or blue.
