This 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit depicts the Honda NSX, the brand’s first true super sports car, previewed at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show and released to the public in September 1990, a vehicle that quickly became a benchmark in high performance automotive design. The NSX was revolutionary as the first mass production car to feature an all aluminum monocoque body, achieving exceptional rigidity, aerodynamic efficiency, and a curb weight of approximately 1350 kg. Power came from a 3 liter V6 DOHC engine equipped with Honda’s VTEC valve timing system, producing 280 horsepower and paired with a five speed manual transmission, while advanced engineering such as four wheel independent double wishbone suspension, ABS, traction control, and SRS airbags underscored its focus on both performance and safety. The model faithfully recreates the NSX’s sleek, aerodynamically honed form and includes a moving rear window hatch and cover to allow inspection of the V6 engine, a highly detailed underside with suspension and exhaust system, a realistic interior with leather seat depictions and parts for left or right hand drive configurations, and retractable headlights that function as moving parts for added realism.
