The 81mm L16 mortar is particularly well-suited to the Paras’ airborne role, being light and extremely man-portable. The L16 can provide quick and accurate bombardments and smoke screens on enemy positions at short notice. Mounted on a tripod, the L7A2 GPMG sustained-fire (SF) MG can provide both direct and indirect fire in support of a Para assault or advance. A Royal Artillery Blowpipe Air Defence Detachment is usually tasked with deploying and operating the Blowpipe missile system to protect ground forces from air attacks. A Blowpipe detachment includes the Blowpipe missile launcher, aiming unit, and associated equipment. A detachment consists of three soldiers, one to operate the missile and two to support and provide security. Contains: 6x metal SF GPMG Teams; 6x metal 81mm Mortar Teams; 2x metal Blowpipe Missile Teams. Gaming miniatures (figures, tanks, military vehicles & equipment) from Battlefront are unpainted and some require minor assembly. Listing images show assembled and painted miniatures.
