The Rabbi (RBY Mk 1) light armoured reconnaissance vehicle is suitable for a wide range of roles including reconnaissance, long-range patrols and commando-type operations, internal security operations and the evacuation of wounded in forward battlefield areas. The Israeli paratroopers use a variant mounting a TOW missile and two pintle mounted machine-guns. Its low weight enables it to be carried by helicopters such as the Israeli Air Force’s CH-53s.
