Trumpeter is an internationally recognized injection molded plastic model kit manufacturer that produces unique subjects of excellent detail and quality. Assembly and painting are required. Item is brand new and in its original factory packaging. Listing images are stock pictures provided by the manufacturer or the distributor. The Mil Mi-24A is an early production version of the famous Mi-24 “Hind” family developed from the Mi-8: a heavily armed battlefield helicopter that also carries troops in a rear cabin. NATO reporting names for these first-series machines are often given as Hind-A for the initial production batch and Hind-B for the Mi-24A; both entered Soviet service around the early 1970s and predate the later tandem-cockpit Mi-24D. Compared with later Hinds, the Mi-24A is recognized by its original 'greenhouse' nose and side-by-side crew seating, stub wings for rockets, gun pods, and early anti-tank missiles, and the classic tail rotor on the starboard side of the tail boom on many airframes. The kit features a detailed fuselage with accurate contours, clear canopy parts, a finely detailed cockpit and gear bay, and photo-etched detail parts included.
