New Arrival: Neptun 1/1250 German Light Cruiser Leipzig (Camouflaged, Painted Deck)
We’re excited to announce the arrival of the Neptun T1041S German Light Cruiser Leipzig in 1/1250 scale. This model features a detailed camouflage paint scheme and painted deck, adding an extra layer of authenticity to Neptun’s renowned craftsmanship.
Historical context: Commissioned in 1931, the Leipzig was the last light cruiser built for the German Navy before World War II. Serving throughout the war, she took part in operations in the Baltic and North Seas and later supported naval training and escort missions. In December 1944, Leipzig was struck in a collision with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen but continued to serve until the end of the conflict. Camouflage schemes, like the one represented here, were employed to reduce visibility and confuse enemy forces during wartime operations.
Model highlights:
- 1/1250 scale diecast miniature of the Leipzig light cruiser.
- Special “S” version with painted decks and enhanced detailing.
- Wartime camouflage paint scheme for added authenticity.
- An excellent addition for collectors of Kriegsmarine ships and WWII naval history.
